Do you need planning permission for a pool house?

Pool houses from Crown Pavilions are a luxurious, elegant and practical addition to any home or commercial property. They allow you to make the most of your outdoor space all year through as well as complimenting your landscape.

Our bespoke pool houses can be used for a variety of purposes including a home spa, a pool bar or a relaxing area with state of the art lighting and sound systems. Whatever you require, the Crown Pavilions team can design and create it. All of our builds are finished to the quality of a permanent structure; however, they are considered to be a permitted development.

Planning a pool house

Permitted developments do not require planning permission, as long as they meet certain government guidelines.

The outbuildings are not on the grounds of a listed building

They are not used as a self-contained living accommodation

The building does not reach over an overall height of 4 metres

They do not extend the principal elevation of the house

Generally, all pool houses from Crown Pavilions are within these guidelines, however, if you are unsure please ask a member of our team.

If you do require planning permission, we will be happy to advise and support you throughout the process. We aim to make the purchase of a pool house as seamless and stress free as possible.

If you are looking for a pool house for your hotel, gym or spa resort, Crown Pavilions has an excellent track record of building luxurious pool houses for commercial properties.
